Terms of service
Effective June 3, 2026 · Litstream Pro LLC
These terms govern your use of Litstream Pro, operated by Litstream Pro LLC (an Arizona limited liability company, registered business ID 25060006). By purchasing a storefront, buying an ebook on a storefront, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms.
We use simple English where we can. Where capital-letter words sound like legal terms, we've tried to define them inline.
Who runs payments
Litstream Pro is the platform. Webly Studio, Inc. ("Webly") is our payment partner and the payment processor of record for the platform's own charges. When you pay Litstream Pro - for a storefront, a catalog add-on, or the monthly platform fee - the charge is processed through Webly's Stripe account and may appear on your statement as Webly Studio. Webly processes payments on our behalf under a service agreement; your relationship for the product and support is with Litstream Pro.
The relationships on the platform
Litstream Pro has three kinds of relationships, with different terms for each:
- Seller relationship. A seller purchases a storefront from us and uses it to resell ebooks from our catalog to their own end customers. The seller pays us; we provide the storefront and the right to resell.
- End-customer relationship. An end customer purchases an individual ebook from a storefront and reads it in our in-app reader.
- House stores. Some storefronts are operated by Litstream Pro itself ("house stores"). On a house store, Litstream Pro - through Webly - is the seller and the merchant of record for end-customer sales. See "House stores" below.
What a storefront purchase includes
When you buy a Litstream Pro storefront ($499.99 one-time setup), you get:
- A branded storefront at
{your-subdomain}.litstreampro.com, activated about 7 days after purchase. - 5 starter ebooks of your choosing from our central catalog.
- The right to resell those ebooks to your own end customers at any price you set.
- An onboarding specialist who walks you through the platform.
You can add more ebooks from our central catalog at any time for $99 each. Each $99 purchase gives you the right to resell that ebook to unlimited end customersat any price you set - it's a license, not a per-copy cost.
Your first month is free. After that 1-month free trial (30 days after purchase), a flat $59.99/month platform fee begins. This covers hosting, reader infrastructure, deliverability, and platform updates. It is not a percentage of your sales. See our Refund policy for how cancellation works.
What we don't take
We take zero commission on your end-customer sales. When an end customer buys an ebook from your storefront, 100% of the sale (minus Stripe's processing fee) goes to your own Stripe account. Litstream Pro's revenue comes from the storefront setup fee, the $99 catalog add-ons, and the monthly platform fee - never from your resale revenue.
Payments and Stripe Connect (seller storefronts)
End-customer purchases on a seller's storefront are processed as Stripe Connect direct charges to the seller's own connected Stripe account. The seller is the merchant of record for those sales, receives the funds directly, and keeps 100% (less Stripe's fee). To sell, a seller must connect a Stripe account and complete Stripe's identity and payout verification.
Because the seller is the merchant of record, the seller is responsible for refunds and for defending chargebacks on their end-customer sales. We provide the IP and verification data captured at checkout to help (see our Privacy Policy), and our refund tooling is built in, but the financial responsibility for a seller's sales sits with the seller.
House stores
Litstream Pro operates a number of its own storefronts ("house stores"). On a house store:
- Litstream Pro - through Webly - is the seller and the merchant of record. End-customer payments are processed through Webly's Stripe account, not a third-party seller's.
- Litstream Pro is responsible for fulfillment, refunds, and chargebacks on those sales, and provides support directly at support@litstreampro.com.
- The end-customer reading license and the refund window are the same as on any other storefront.
What a seller can and can't do
You can:
- Set your own resale price for each ebook on your storefront, from $0.50 to $9,999.99.
- Hide or show individual ebooks on your storefront.
- Customize your storefront branding, banner, accent color, and hero copy.
- Send broadcast emails to your customers within our deliverability rules.
- Run discount codes, build collections, and use the affiliate program inside the platform.
You can't:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the ebook content outside of your Litstream Pro storefront. The right to resell only applies to sales made through your storefront.
- Download, export, print, or otherwise extract the ebook source files. The content is delivered through our protected in-browser reader; no PDF, EPUB, or downloadable file is available.
- Misrepresent the source or authorship of the ebooks. They're ours; you're reselling.
- Use the platform for content not provided through our catalog. Your storefront only sells ebooks we've published to the catalog.
- Spam, scrape, or otherwise abuse the platform. Repeated abuse results in account termination.
What an end customer can and can't do
When you buy an ebook from a storefront, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to read that ebook inside the Litstream Pro reader on that storefront. You can:
- Read the ebook in your browser on any device.
- Resume where you left off - reading progress is saved automatically.
- Adjust font size and light/dark theme inside the reader.
You can't:
- Download the ebook as a file. There is no PDF, EPUB, or DOCX export.
- Print, copy, or extract the content. The reader blocks these actions by design.
- Share your login. Each ebook is licensed to your account only.
Refunds are covered by our Refund policy.
Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account for any of the following:
- Successful chargebacks against your account, especially repeated ones.
- Violation of these terms or the refund policy.
- Abuse of the platform, including spam, scraping, or attempts to bypass content protection.
- Failure to pay the monthly platform fee after the 1-month free trial.
- Fraudulent payment, identity, or registration information.
On termination, your storefront goes offline and your dashboard is locked. Existing end-customer purchases remain valid - those customers keep their books.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is." We work hard on uptime and deliverability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service, specific sales results, or that the platform will be error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Litstream Pro's total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
