Refund policy
Effective June 3, 2026 · Litstream Pro LLC
This page describes how refunds work on Litstream Pro for the two kinds of customers we serve: sellers (people who purchase a storefront from us and resell ebooks to their own audience) and end customers (people who buy an individual ebook from a storefront).
The headline: ebooks are digital goods delivered instantly, so an ebook purchase is final once you open it. If you have not opened it, you can request a refund within 7 days. Storefront purchases are refundable within 7 days only before onboarding begins. You agree to this policy at checkout. A refund or successful chargeback ends access to whatever was purchased.
End-customer ebook refunds
When you purchase an ebook from a storefront on Litstream Pro:
- Once you open the ebook in the reader, the sale is final - no refund. Opening the book delivers the full content, so we treat it as consumed. You confirm you understand and accept this at checkout.
- If you have not opened the ebook, you can request a refund within 7 days of purchase from your account page (
/store/account) on the storefront where you bought it. After 7 days, the sale is final whether or not it was opened. - When an eligible refund is approved, your access is removed and the charge is reversed on your payment method, typically within 5-10 business days.
- Who approves it depends on the storefront. On a seller's storefront, the seller is the merchant of record and approves and funds the refund. On a Litstream Pro house store, we handle it directly.
- A chargeback filed with your card issuer has the same effect as an approved refund: access is removed, the account may be flagged, and the dispute may be defended with the access logs, IP, and verification data we collect at checkout and in the reader (see our Privacy Policy) - including whether and when the ebook was opened.
Cart purchases
If you bought multiple books in one cart, each book is evaluated independently: an unopened book is refundable within 7 days even if another book in the same order was opened.
Seller refunds (storefront setup and catalog add-ons)
- Storefront setup ($499.99): refundable within 7 days of purchase only if onboarding has not yet begun and your storefront has not been activated. Once onboarding work starts or the storefront goes live, the setup service has been delivered and the fee is non-refundable. Request a refund by opening a support ticket from your dashboard (
/dashboard/support). - Catalog add-ons ($99 each): refundable within 7 days of purchase only if you have not yet listed or sold that ebook on your storefront. Once it is listed or sold, the resale license has been used and the add-on is non-refundable.
- Monthly platform fee ($59.99/mo, after your first month free): non-refundable. Canceling stops future charges (see below); we do not refund or pro-rate a month already billed.
- Approved refund of the storefront setup deletes your storefront, removes your ebooks, ends your subscription, and revokes dashboard access. Any end-customer purchases made before the refund are not reversed - those customers keep their books.
- A successful chargeback on a payment to Litstream Pro has the same effect as an approved refund plus a permanent account flag. Repeated chargebacks may result in account termination without further refund.
Subscription cancellation vs refund
- Canceling stops future monthly charges. Your storefront stays online through the end of the paid period, then goes offline. You keep access to read your own ebooks in the seller reader, but you can no longer sell to new customers. Canceling does not refund a charge already made.
- A refund is a reversal of a specific past charge, available only where this policy allows it, and ends access immediately as described above.
Consent at checkout
Before completing any purchase you must confirm that you have read and agree to this refund policy and, for ebooks, that you understand the purchase becomes final once you open the book. We record that agreement with your order.
No chargebacks on resolved purchases. By completing a purchase you agree to raise any refund or billing concern with us first - through the store where you bought, or at support@litstreampro.com - rather than filing a dispute or chargeback with your card issuer. An opened ebook, a purchase that has already been refunded, and a charge you agreed was final are not valid grounds for a chargeback. If a chargeback is filed on a purchase that was already refunded or consumed, we will contest it using the checkout consent, access logs, and verification data tied to your order.
Exceptions
Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country or state, where those rights cannot be waived. If a duplicate charge, billing error, or platform fault is at issue, contact us - we will make it right regardless of the windows above.
How to request a refund
- End customers: open the storefront where you bought the ebook, sign in, go to your account page, find the order, and click "Request refund." Eligible only if the book is unopened and within 7 days.
- Sellers: open
/dashboard/supportand create a ticket with the subject "Refund request" including the purchase date, the item, and the reason.
We review every refund request in the order received and respond within 1 business day. If we need more information, we'll reach out by email.
